ED IS A GUY OF TATTOO
Ed has over than 60 tattoo all over his body where each of them have personal meaning. They are either connected to his family, achievements or memories. He has spent 40 hours in a tattoo parlour chair in the past year, and is planning to get another 30 tattoos on his back. People tell him that he looks like a melted crayon and he proudly said, "I guess this is just my eight year-old self coming out."
The song title "Castle On The Hill" was inspired by an actual place in Suffolk, England where he used to spend his teenage time with his friends.

THE 'HOMELESS' POP STAR
During Ed live in London, every night was a gamble for him. Most of the night he would get a couch to sleep in a stranger or a friend's home, but some nights, he ended up being bedless and homeless, so he would sleep on the Central Line and outside Buckingham Palace.
A YEAR BREAK
On 13 December 2015, he posted a picture in his Instagram account saying that he's taking a year break from the media and everything. Exactly a year later, he post a bold blue picture, which was later known as the theme color of his new album, Divide.
MUSICALLY GENIUS
Ed can play basically almost every music instrument. It's so common for us to see him with his guitar around, but since a very young age, he can also play the piano, keyboards, and even cello.
Cherry Seaborn, his new fiancee was known to be his inspiration for most of the songs in "Divide", including our favorite, Perfect.
Cherry was a star hockey player during her high school and university life. She was then work as an advisory consultant. Cherry was also the reason Ed took a year break from his career, where they both together quit their job in the States, and spent a year together to go back to England and travel the world.
THE "PERFECT' INSPIRATION
TOUR JOURNAL
During all of his tour, Ed would always upload a picture dedicated for every place he has a concert on. Those pictures were all uploaded to his Instagram account, mentioning the city in each caption. This one is from the night he performed in San José.
A ONE MAN BAND
We all know that Ed is basically a one-man-band, exactly like what he said in his new song 'What Do I Know'. He rarely has an opening act, nor a back up band. He performs everything by himself, with only a guitar and a pedal loop in his foot. And his shows has never failed to amaze.
THE ACOUSTIC CARPOOL KARAOKE
After a long time waiting and after a ton tons of request, Ed Sheeran has finally appeared in The Late Late Show with James Corden, Carpool Karaoke series. It was called as one of the best carpool karaoke episode so far, completed by Ed playing his guitar instead of just a music form the car's radio, making it as the first ever acoustic carpool karaoke.
The version we currently hear on the radio was sung by Justin Bieber, but it was no longer a secret that it was originally written by Ed Sheeran, since we can immediately feel his style in the music. Ed admitted that the original lyrics from the song was F*** yourself instead of Love Yourself, but changed it later because the first version seems to harsh for most people.
GINGERBREAD MAN RECORDS
In March 2015, Sheeran revealed he was setting up a record label, Gingerbread Man Records, which is a deal with Warner Music Group.
Jamie Lawson later then became the label's first signee followed by Voy Fance.
F*** YOURSELF
A GUITAR FAMILY
Like most artist, Ed Sheeran also has lots of guitar in his home. What's so special about it then? Well, each of his guitar has their own name, and it was all carved on the guitar by him. He admitted that all the name come from people in his working crew.
CHIVALRY IS NOT DEAD FOR THE GINGER HEADED GUY
During the Cîroc Warner after-party, Cherry broke her Louboutin ankle boots. Instead of leaving his girl to hobble, Ed left the Freemason’s Hall in just his socks, holding Cherry’s hand while carrying her broken boots in his other hand.
JOIN THE RED NOSE
Ed Sheeran played a large role in Friday's Red Nose Day special as the singer performed, appeared in a comedy sketch and hosted an emotional segment where he traveled to Liberia to meet with homeless and parentless children. He was so moved by the kid's story, he tells the segment's crew that he's not leaving until the child and five of his mates are "sorted out" in a situation that includes shelter and schooling. The singer offers to put up the money to ensure this kid isn't spending another night sleeping on the beach.
